From the Jose Maria Cordova Airport, you can take a Taxi directly to Mom’s House Hostel but this is an expensive option.
You can also take a bus to Belen which is located in the Autopista Medellin/Bogota. Get off in Belen and then take another bus, the most common of which is San Vincente, to Guatape/La Piedra. From there, get off at the terminal, where the bus stops in Guatape.
From Medellin: From the North Bus Terminal in Medellin (be sure that its the North terminal, there are two in Medellin, the other is the South Terminal) you can take a bus directly to Guatape.
How to get here once you get to Guatape: Take a Motochiva (the three wheeled taxis all over town) and ask to go to Hostal Casa de Mama vereda el Roble. Motochiva cost is 3000 pesos.
Or... from the bus stop in Guatape one can easily walk 15 minutes to Casa de Mama. Walk on the Malecón which is the Street on the side of the lake. Cross the bridge and pass the first street on the right side. Walk for a couple more minutes, and on the second street, Via Calle de Roble, turn right. Walk up Villa Calle de Roble for about 5 minutes and look for the sign for Casa de Mama on your left side.

Our Hostel is a converted country house which still has the charm of a Colombian family house. We are surrounded by nature, fruit trees, and beautiful open areas. Mom’s House Hostel has a shared kitchen and shared bathroom with a hot shower. We have a living room area and a large patio where you can relax and watch the Colombian sunset and a view of El Peñol in the distance. Our Hostel is located atop a hill, so the views are gorgeous at any time of day. We are working on our garden area and every day the property feels more like your home away from home. We offer free WiFi for all of our guests. There is an area for smokers on the property but for those who don´t smoke, the property is big enough to stay away from the smoke. Since we are a family run hostel, we also have our extended animal family here with us. Jacko and Lorenzo are our two calm, loving dogs and Merlin is our cat. They share the spaces with us but have their own sleeping areas. We hope that you will become a part of our family soon as well!

Mom’s House Hostel is located in beautiful Guatape Antioquia, Colombia. Most visitors and travelers come to see and climb the famous rock formation El Peñol, which is a short 6.4 KM bus ride from Guatape. However, Guatape has much to offer and we are close to many wonderful activities, including hiking, biking, fishing, boating, kayaking, restaurants, bars, music and culture. There is a street along the water, called Malecon, where you can encounter food, artisanal gifts and boat tours and then head to the central park where you can encounter Colombian culture at its finest. Many travelers take helicopter rides, zipline or just relax and enjoy the brilliant scenery while walking the streets lined with vibrantly colorful houses, in one of the most enchanting places in Colombia.
